Commuteur / About
Getting around shouldn't take five apps
Commuteur is one app for the whole trip: every way to get there, compared side by side, then guided step by step. We're starting where commuting is hardest, in New York and New Jersey.
Get in touchThe problem
A trip across the Hudson can mean a train, a subway, a bus and a walk, each with its own app, schedule and fare. Rideshare sits in another app with no way to compare. Riders guess, and often pay more or wait longer than they need to.
Commuteur puts every option in one list with real times and prices, then stays with you for the whole trip. Riders who choose transit earn rewards for it.
What we've built
The iPhone app is built and being tested on real trips around New York and New Jersey.
Our own trip planner
A routing engine we built and run ourselves, working across 11 NJ TRANSIT and MTA schedule feeds: rail, light rail, subway, the LIRR, Metro-North and buses in all five boroughs.
Live vehicles
Positions every 15 seconds, including subway trains placed by the last station they reported.
Rides and rentals
Uber prices and booking, plus Avis rentals, next to transit.
Events
Nearby games and shows from Ticketmaster, each with every way to the venue.
Wallet and rewards
A Commuteur Balance, Stripe payments and Green Points for every transit leg.
